Default Jackshaft wanted shot in the dark...

Does anyone have a Mercruiser jackshaft assembly collecting dust somewhere?

I'll be coupling a 350mag to an alpha, then eventually a Bravo. From what I can tell, the assembly is the same for either Alpha or Bravo...

A shot in the dark also. Are you referring to an input yoke as a jackshaft?
They're usually "with the drive" anyways. So I don't see the concern over a sole shaft.
Even if they are the same (there are many variations depending on drive serial #) there is more to it than that shaft, converting from an Alpha to a Bravo if you aren't aware.

No, not an input yoke.

Commonly called a jackshaft, mercruiser calls it an extension kit, it's a series of parts to connect a remote mounted engine to the drive, much like the drive shaft in an automobile.

That I'm aware.
Just not very common in the boats on this forum. With Alphas anyhow.
That is why I asked.

I didnt think it would be common here but, yall seem to have shops and garages full of parts, so I figured it was worth a shot before paying Mercruiser list.

It seems I do not have enough post to initiate a PM.

I'm not too familiar with the individual parts. Do you have all of the parts needed to constitute a full "extension kit"?

Thanks,

Steve

You're at 10 post so you should be good to go to PM.
This link for this # 98634a20 has "where used" at bottom of page.
Unless you get a used shaft, I don't think the kits come with shafts themselves as they are all going to be custom lengths depending on boat setup.
Here is a parts lookup view:

Correct, the shaft itself is not included in the kit probably because of the custom requirements. I can have a shaft built and balanced local. And yes, that is the exact kit part # I seek. I didnt think most people would know the part # for something collecting dust...
