What's a good automotive cap and rotor for the 454 MPI? I keep my boat 300 miles away from where I live so...not easy to just go scope out...any help is greatly appreciated.

Any cap with brass terminals should be fine.

808483 should be the merc PN

Delco D303A is the automotive cross reference but many have aluminum contacts, not brass.

Got a cap and rotor from the local O'Reilly's...Sierra 18-5354 just like Griff noted...and a good, brass contact rotor, MPI 2-3210. Cap was $41.99 and the rotor was $3.99.

I'd look for this rotor,It has those cooling fins so it keeps moister out and cools the ignition module.
