Default VinylEster Shelf Life

I know I've seen six month shelf life for vinylester on here before, but never sure of the context. Is that from date of manufacture/production, or from the time I open the can? I bought a couple of gallons to do my old Scorpion transom, but then buying a house and moving put the boat on hold for a minute. About ready to get back to work on the boat and wondering if I need to reorder resin.

Thanks,

Ernie

Mix up a small batch and see what it does. Depending on how it was stored it could last a long time or a couple of months.

Yeah, I do have other work besides the transom; I figure I'll try a small job first. Thanks!

How did this turn out? I just got 10 gallons in from US Composites that are sitting in my garage right now, insulated, but I worry.

You know it's still waiting for me to get to it...bought a new house and so the boat had to go on the back burner for a while. At least living in the Caribbean I don't have to worry about insulation. I will post results when I can, though.
