Default MYSTIC Powerboats resin infused hulls

.

John Cosker shares internals of Mystic Powerboats builds

I found this video quite interesting as John Cosker (Owner , builder MYSTIC Powerboats) is transparent on how he builds his boats. Video includes vacuum resin infusion , the different density foams the hull is made with along with the 6 piece hard-top
Also quite impressed with how solid the boat is in every step of the build. Very clean stages of build. Transom templates for that perfect outboard placement during rigging. Also the paint job by Doug Harrell Design (DHD) , an on-location powerhouse of boat graphics is beautiful and eye-catching

Air pockets are the weak point of any encapsulated design. Boats, concrete, foam, epoxies, etc.

Default In case you wondered where all the engines have gone

I think we are looking at the problem that the V12 was intended to solve.

Owners also get highly offended if you ask how many of the engines are foam look alikes hell i have a 25 seacraft with 12 engines everyone uses it for selfies i am not a fan of this multi engine trend i think our future is a boat like this with 2 arnsons or number 6s with 2 splitters and 4 3 liter duramax engines that little engine is super quiet great power and torque we have one and i love how it runs we got 34 to 37 going to NHRA in maple grove last weekend and yes it was an awesome event those here who have not gone to a Nitro race it just can,t be explained just go to one ..... whoops side tracked mystic does build some cool boats i just wish they would explore other power options i,m not a fan of mother mercury telling me i cant work on or modify their products how cool would a quad 4 engine be with a supercharger instead of turbos the rep said they would sue if you modify the engine? why no 450s with headers to make them sound better?

Well, Mercury just needs to keep introducing higher horsepower engines, and at some point the number of outboards on transoms will start to come down.

Mercury created a great market opportunity for big outboard-powered boats. The manufacturers who spotted that opportunity are just to be congratulated.

Or will it let outboard powered boats get bigger ?
