I have seen these called "cool fuel" units, as well as "fuel module" units. Merc calls them a fuel module. It has the pump, the filter, and the fuel is water-jacketed to cool it (hence the cracked housing from freezing mentioned below).

I need either a complete (working/non-working/whatever) Merc "cool fuel" unit that DOESNT have a cracked housing. Neighbor did not properly winterize and his now has a crack that leaks water. I only NEED the housing, buy I'll be glad to take one with a bad fuel pump or other troubles and scavenge the housing from it.

HINT: Once he brings me his unit and it's in my hands I plan to charge him $150 to disassemble it, clean it, vee out the crack, drill the ends of the crack, preheat it, weld it, pressure test it. So there's really no reason to pay more than that for another housing (unless I can't get it to pass the pressure test).

I have one cool fuel setup off a 305 tbi . I will look it up. And see if it is the same as what ur looking for.
