There is a company out there who's sole goal is to put a turbine into everything. They've already done jet boats, outboards, motorcycles and lawnmowers. I suppose a go cart is the next step.

He has put a jet in more things than i can count.
He just finnished up doin junk yard wars "JET TRIKES" to be aired next spring. check out www.nyethermodynamics.com to see some of his jet junk. Squirt 2 is a friggin awsome little boat(idle to 95mph in about 4 seconds)
