NOW THAT THE RACING SEASON OF 2002 IS OVER AND WE LOOK BACK, WHAT RACES DO THE READERS ON THIS BOARD FEEL WERE GREAT FOR THE FANS? AFTER BEING AT SEVERAL AND WATCHING THE REST ON T.V. I BELIEVE THAT KEY WEST HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREAT..YOU CAN'T GET MUCH CLOSER WITHOUT BEING IN THE BOAT WHEN YOU ARE ON THE SEAWALL AND THE BOATS COME INSIDE THE BREAKWATER AT CORPUS CHRISTI...AND SEVEN MILE BRIDGE MADE IT THE EASIEST TO SEE ALL THE TURNS AND STANDING ON THE BRIDGE WATCHING THE BOATS GO BY SO CLOSE UNDER YOU AND TO BE LOOKING DOWN AT THE HELICOPTERS SOMETIMES INSTEAD OF UP... I'LL NEVER FORGET LOOKING DOWN THE SIDE OF THAT BRIDGE AND WHAT I SAW IN THE LAST TURN FOR THE FINISH WITH WHM AND DRAMBUIE!!!...WHAT A GREAT YEAR OF BOAT RACING!!

i have to agree that this year may have seemed like it was off to a rocky start, but overall it was a great year. the venue changes weren't as bad as everyone expected. the teams worked hard and put on a great show.

I have to say, from a spectators point of view, NEW ORLEANS was the best. only because the boats were a mere 50 feet from the sea wall in the first race. A little dangerous in my opinion, but certainly spine tingling. Especially the supercats ie Bicardi, Pier 57, etc...etc.

I can't wait until next year!!!
