Default Whipple on a 288

Curious if anyone has put a whipple on a 288 with a 525efi. Curious how it liked it.

canadajeff's boat I believe was a 500EFI boat. It would have been an early 2000's boat. Been forever and a day since I saw it up on Lake St. Clair.

I know there was a member from the New York area that Whippled a 496 288. I think there was at least one 288 that had ITS from the factory and I'm trying to remember if it was a 600 SCi boat or just a 525EFI.

Is your 288 a stepped boat or just the ventilated chine?

What's up guys! I had a 2008 MCOB SSR with a 525efi with hydraulic steering, Bravo 1 XR standard, HD Gimbal and a Whipple 3.3L on it. Boat ran mid 90's all day and ran great. Let me know if you have any questions. Probably dialed in on a cold day and the right setup the boat might have touched 100 possibly. Here are a few videos.

Nice! What prop were you running? Any issues with torque roll?

I ran a 34p Bravo but it was on the rev limiter if you really rolled it out. definitely needed a 5 blade or a herring. i ended up selling the boat to get into something else and sold my buddy the whipple so i never had time to fully dial it in but it was a wicked set up.

no issues with torque roll at all.
