Great to hear. I'm sure the community can use a shot of money to help with the rebuild.

I just drove through there about 30 minutes ago, the parking lot where the race boats are displayed is in good shape, and should be fine in the next week or so. The Sandbar restaurant/bar and the Lock and Key restaurant/bar are both open, and it appears the White Elephant is about to open.

The location where the crane lowers the boats is ready, and appears good to go.

I really enjoy watching the races from this location.

Smarty,
Any idea how Castaways Condos look? Debbie emailed me and said they sustained some damage but were going to work hard to be ready for all of us who reserved a condo for the races.

Thank you. I'm of the assumption that if my condo isn't available that finding an alternative place to stay is going to be next to impossible.

I spoke with an owner of a unit at Castaways today that faces the Gulf. He told me that Building B was ok (in his opinion) and that Building C was uninhabitable
, I cannot confirm that opinion as I could not access, nor was permitted to access, any units to make an inspection of the interiors. Sorry for not being able to give you a firm answer to your question.

They just called me a half hour ago. Unable to accept any guests until at least next May. I kinda expected this. Now to try to find an alternative.
