Default 1990 mirage intimidator 270 with fixing?

I have 1990 mirage intimidator 270 with twin 454 gen 4 330hp engines. I bought this boat as a project...The engine are both bad and really looking for advice. I plan to use it at lake of the ozarks missouri. I have a shop that can put a gen 6 cam in making it a roller cam vs flat tappet. full rebuilds are gonna be at 20k for the pair. has bravo 1 drives that need new bellows. Would i be better of scrapping the project our putting the 22k into it between engines and bellows? Tia

id post photos but because im a new member and do not have 10 post i cant post photos

Have boat surveyed for soft spots… transom and stringers ?

Just wonder if I have a money pit. Or worth redoing. I'm in missouri never had a boat surveyed. Don't even know what that really is

Money pit for sure, but most boats are.
If you got the boat for free, you will still have more $$ invested in it than it will ever be worth and thats even if you do all the labor yourself.
The hull has little value and the boat will be worth the value of the major parts

Check for rot. My '87 Mirage had rot. I had to replace the stringers and floor. Did it all myself but it was a pain.

Its a cool boat, i would definitely do it! if its what you really want $$$ do not matter!

Go roller for sure on the cams, no one does flat tappet anymore!
