Default Epoxy over poly

Winter project, adding some filler glass on a poly hull. It's not structeral. I have epoxy resin or should I just use poly. I will gel coat this area when finished. 80s hull.

I would just get some poly if not structural. If you don't remove the amine blush you might have issues with the gel coat.

your probably better off sticking with poly for non structural repairs. Much easier for the "do-it-yourselfer" as gelcoat over epoxy can be tricky if you've not done it before.

Okay, no epoxy. I forgot about it for gel coating.
What about vinyl ester?

If not structural and you don't have it laying around I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase vinyl ester just because of the additional cost.
