Default Mercury PRO XS V8 350 and 400

Hi!

There are some rumors coming across the Atlantic to us in Norway that Mercury soon will release Pro XS V8 350 and 400 hp engines. Any ideas?

Ive been expecting them to take the V8 up to 350hp and discontinue the I6. 350 and 400. Shouldn’t be much of stretch as the 300R does 318hp.

400 NA would be a surprise.

Mercury already has the 4.6L V8 APX motor that makes 360hp.

350hp NA should be easy to make, not sure about 400 NA.

2023 360 HP APX 4.6L V8

A friend of mine was saying Quicksilver repower division was coming out with a 409 small block making 400 HP on pump gas.

Fingers crossed.....

EDIT: I just saw this posted today.

"outboard gearcase is direct-drive with no neutral or reverse shifting." and "left-hand propeller rotation desired for Formula 1 circuit racing"

Im thinking this is Race only without neutral or reverse! But it does prove they can make the power.

Yes, I was only showing the OP that the power is there and that 350HP can be done, cause it already has been done up to 360HP.
