I have a 05 288 with the open bow cover that uses two poles. The tips that go towards the back of the boat broke off. Does anyone know the size of the tips? I have seen some online but not sure of the size.

My 05 288 is in the shop 100 miles away. I can help but it will be a bit before I can provide an answer.

Try calling Bill Bird at 586-469-7062. He originally made these covers and poles for us.

You can buy a bunch of different types of tips for chair legs and the like at Lowe's, Home Depot or the like. As a matter of fact, I like replacing them from time to time as they get funky, and can mess up the carpet.
