Hi!
I have a Phantom 25 1985 model with a 450R engine 2021 model. I use Vantage View instruments coupled to Mercury Monitor. I also have a Simrad plotter linked to the same Mercury Monitor. The dash used to accommodate instruments for a twin set up, so I have both an "analoge" set up and digital platforms.
My oil pressure, oil level and oil temp "analoge" instruments does not respond. With my 400R all of them worked all fine. I replaced my 10 years old Mercury Monitor with a new one this summer, but it did not help. I get all information about oil (pressure, level and temp) from the Mercury Monitor and Simrad plotter. But the 3 Vantage instruments are all dead. Despite the new Mercury Monitor.
It may be the Vantage RPM unit which is too old and do not communicate with the new 450R. What do you think?
All Vantage instruments react and swipe full when you set the ignition, but the 3 oil instruments does not react after this, just reading "0".
Thanks !

Thanks, got a answer from Livorsi. We need to check if the tach communicate with the 450R. "Mercury decided to change there data information on their V -6, 8, 10, and 12 cylinder motors.
If your master tachometer is older than version “O” firmware it will not read oil pressure and most likely not read water pressure either.
Here is how to check.
Press and hold mode button.-------Scroll down to “MISC” Pres mode---------Scroll down to “Revision” Press mode
Version “O” is what you need. If it is not “O” the tach’s will need to be replaced"
