Commentary: Love The Excitement, But Lose The Phones

The 2022 boating season brought serious joy to a lot of people, some of whom caught it with their camera phones and may end up being featured in the Speed On The Water 2022 Year In Review magazine.

Personally the phones or cameras don,t ruin the pic for me but no life jackets on anyone sure does! its a disrespect to everyone in our tiny sport, kinda like a guy on a hypersport bike with no helmet or shirt just shorts and flip flops its make you cringe

I personally am confused as to why so many people take video or pics of events instead of truly being in and experiencing the moment. The pics and video usually don't turn out as nice as what's in front of you. Enjoy the moment. Just my 2 cents.

Yep always drives me crazy when people in the boat are taking pictures of the helicopter and ruining the pictures from the helicopter. Boat owners spend a lot of money to get the occasional picture of your boat while running and don’t want it ruined by someone in your boat.
