Default Pretty cool boat recovery video on YouTube

It’s a jet boat lost on lake mead 30 years ago. People recover it, get it running and present it to the owner who tells the story of how it was sunk. How the motors not seized I don’t know. I do know the transom HAS to be wet. As well as the stringers. Pretty cool video. They get it out and rip in it. 😀

Watch this guy from time to time.
Cool story and crazy also as to what happened then when it sank.
The guy seemed pretty traumatized so he might not want it back.
If he does I'd surely get the wetness redone. I'm with you it has to be wet somewhere.

This is Fab Rats cousin below, he has a Youtube channel also. He did 3 videos of the "quick restoration".

This guy also discovered it and posted a video of it when the water was higher.
Don't know if he's the original guy that discovered it or not.
In the video you posted they said the camera was missing this guy shows.
I don't know how film ages underwater or if it'd be developable.
Be cool if it could and they got some positive memories from it.

HolUp. You're telling me no one would take these people on board, from their sinking boat?
I'm an jerk a lot of the time, who just wants to be left alone, but if you're boat is going down. I'll get you to shore.

I can't risk the weight of your boat sinking mine, but I will 110% get you and any other human to a safer place.

I'm with you. I couldn't imagine people passing them by especially with toddlers in the boat, I couldn't live with myself. You could tell he was really devasted even 30 years later

Tough to watch him relive the experience. Couldn’t imagine being in that position with my kids.

Is it wrong to show this to my wife for leverage on a bigger boat?

I can't imagine passing up anyone in distress. Not my nature.

Quite a story. Curious why they never showed it on plane, maybe too heavy from saturated core. Curious how the old balsa core is holding up.
