10" 2-way speaker advice needed
#1
Having some trouble finding options. I'm not an audiophile and don't want to be, and my commitment to this upgrade reflects that!!
Right now I have 4 10" 2-way speakers that I just simply want to replace. They are run off a relatively modest Alpine 4-channel.
My problem is my cutouts are 9". The Bluave's require an 8" hole. The Rockford Fosgates require 9.25".
The only ones I seem to find to fit I think are Soundstream 10's which fit a 8.8" hole which should work pretty nicely.
Does anyone have any experience with these? They are Marine speakers with LED's and almost anything would be an improvement over what I have. Just curious if anyone had experience with this brand?

Morel Elate Carbon MW9 Elate Carbon Series 9" woofers at Crutchfield
These would work but are a little pricey...

No. The JL's won't fit. 7.375" hole.
I really just want plug and play here. The speakers that came out were dcgold.com speakers. The magnet is about the size of a milk cap.
Been researching all night - I'm think I'm stuck trying these Soundstreams since they should be a perfect fit for the 9" cutout. Their Amps seem to have good reviews, just not much on their speakers.

Looks like BoatID carries the brand. But they are out of the 9.5"

Many years ago, Sound Stream used to be a really good product. Unfortunately, i don't know much about the company any more.

Surprised that the DCGolds don't sound good. I have 8 in my boat and 6 for my home theater and they all sound excellent.
You sure you just don't need a better amp?? What are the amp specs??
BTW, the magnets are small on DCG's because they are neodymium magnets
"Neodymium magnets are the strongest type of natural magnet in the world, and can pack an extraordinary amount of magnetic energy into a very small package."
