Looking for advisory on Lake Champlain, Vermont. I know there is a Poker Run up there annually?

I am headed to a wedding over the Summer there and contemplating hauling my 38 Cigarette there to explore the waterways.

Questions:
1. HP limit?
2. How are they on noise? I have straight dry exhaust, no mufflers. My boat is pretty loud. I sense this is a pretty conservative area when it comes to noise. Would I have issues?
3. General consensus for Offshore boats in this area? (Is it worth it)
4. Coming by myself, anyone in that area that would be around and would like to join with their boat?
5. Is it fun?

I see Saris is just "down the road" at Lake George. Maybe he has some input?

Thanks,
-Justin

I'll let some of the Vermonsters jump in, but the Poker Run is put on by a great bunch of guys and Champlain and the Burlington waterfront is a great venue with some great scenery. I sold my Fastech, bought a cc and moved to Florida, or I'd still be doing that run every year.

No HP restrictions, no mufflers required and there are some seriously fast boats in attendance. The lake is 160 miles long, or something like that, so there is plenty of open water and it can deliver all that Cig can handle on a windy day.

And yes, Jason and Johnny are right down the road, 2 hours or so.

I spent a day up there running around in my boat with Chris Fisher in his 38ZR. We had a blast. Lot's of cool destinations (bars). I can't remember if I was running mufflers or not. Plenty of time over 90mph though. The noise rule is NYS state law. Find the right cop, im sure they'll enforce it. Champlain and Sacandaga seem to be much more laid back about it than other places though. I would reach out to Chris Fisher, he's a great guide. Just don't try and keep up at the bar!
