if Matt and the owners of this site have sold there soul and loyality then throw in some pontoons and the ever popular ski and bass boats, better not discriminate against anyones sport now we must be all inclusive...... ah ba humbug our marina still has a Mens room and Ladies room i,m thankful the woke stupid has not reached us .........i do understand times have changed and manufacturers have to cater to survive but don't kill your core audience of offshore boaters, i am seeing a old school offshore resurgence in restoring and rebuilding old school boats so there is a bit of hope! perhaps we rebrand ourselves thunder boats as we are the only loud crowd left......

Your political rant isn't just silly, it's completely incorrect. It's not about woke-ism or inclusion, it's about covering the market that actually exists, not the one you wish still did. (And for the record, we rarely fail to report on a Skater, DCB, MTI catamaran, Outerlimits or any other significant performance-boat build.) But as the lazy but often true saying goes, it is what it is. We also produce a fair amount of project stories on older boats (You can do more homework here, https://www.speedonthewater.com/category/projects/)
So how large is the "old school offshore resurgence in restoring and rebuilding old school boats" you speak of? What your "hear" is all well and good but put some numbers to it. Because I can promise you it is not enough to keep the industry alive.
And there lies the fundamental flaw in your thinking. The marine industry on the whole leans right so any notions of pandering to woke-ism and inclusion are absurd. They didn't sell their souls—the built new products people actually wanted. Had they not following the recession of 2008, they'd have gone dark. That's just a fact.
If you don't like our coverage, by all means vote with your feet (I mean brain and eyes) and don't read it.
