Question Black seadek/marine mat

Anyone with experience?
If so do you agree with this :

For Light Amplification this can cause the mat to have stripes or be spotty depending on the reflected light from say a metal piece or the curve of the gel coat. This takes time as the mats are UV stable but eventually this can happen if tons of concentrated light hits one spot over and over. I mentioned this to my manager and she just wants me to mention again that the black top mats will not be covered under warranty

2. Temperature of the mats. The darker the mats, the hotter it will be on your feet due to the amount of heat the mat absorbs. While throwing a bucket of water on the surface can help with this it should also be known that burning of the mats can occur which is why the darker top mats are not warrantied by the manufactures. (For example the Mocha over Chocolate color mats are no longer warrantied by SeaDek because of the burning issue.)
This will only be on a swim platform and anchor locker of a jet boat .
Always under a roof when not in use and i`m in illinois not in the florida heat/sun so I think Ill be fine.

I chose something called Aqua traction. It’s a closed cell material and very stain resistant.. I am really happy with it. And it’s in Florida 😂

Mine has some brand of black stuff on the floor. Sea Deck, Gator step etc. or whatever I'm not sure that they don't come out of the same factory anyways but it was done in 2019 and it has not discolored one bit. I have had it in Havasu which is basically next to the sun itself. It does get hot but absolutely nowhere near as hot as the black paint on the boat itself if that's any frame of reference.

I tried this Amazon black (dark gray) and red in my Panther to see how I liked it. (Same reservations as you) It's great and I'm going to finish the whole floor in it. I'd say that it's only noticeably warmer than my white floor, but nowhere near as miserable as my light gray Loncoin in my Active thunder. I'm replacing that with black and orange this winter.

On it all the time here in FL and have been for years now. No issues, at worst in July a quick hit with the hose is all it might need.

I had black in the Skater and my last Cig and no issues. Sounds crazy but it was a lot cooler than the light gray in my previous Cig.

Back in the late 80's early 90's when my friends and i were all into jetski's we all had the EVA foam mats on our machines by Hydro-turf (im amazed i remembered that name! ) anyway i had black mats on my Kawi and we were out in the sun every Saturday and Sunday for an easy 8hrs each day and most times even during the week we hit the water as well on days off from school. Our Ski's sat outside during the summer in the sun all day long as well....Unless the mats faded evenly all the way around i have never seen any discoloration from light........chemical burns are another story! LOL Don't use bleach around them!
