Default Excalibur 31 Open

1983 Excalibur 31 Open. Cool story. My godfather, had this boat built and briefly raced it as Mr. Smoker. Also had a 31 Excalibur Cat, Mr. Smoker. I found these photos when it was new in my dads collection years ago and thought as the center consoles were coming on strong, that it would be cool to find one like it. It was the only 31 Open I had seen. In 2018 I posted the pictures on Facebook in the Excalibur group just to share the rare boat. Fast forward to October last year, and the boat found me. It had been sitting in Houston in storage for many years and became marina owned. Once sold, the lucky bidder started researching what it was and found me. I bought it sight unseen knowing it was rare. Turns out, under the red paint is brown gel. Its the same boat, one of one. Once word got out that I found it, I got the rest of the story of it being 1 of 1 from he and others that knew the boat. The icing on the cake is the boat has Gen VI 502's and stainless marine exhaust which I wasn't expecting. I am unsure of my plans with it, but it looks pretty cool sitting with my 27 Flat Deck for now.

Default Want another Excalibur? 😂😂

I have a 1984 Excalibur. I searched for this boat for 20 years. Belonged to a family friend. Finally found it. It was owned by a guy who has a boat restoration company. Perfect. No. It was a nightmare. I purchased the boat with an agreement he would restore it. He strung me along for 2 years and never did anything but replace the stringers. Painted the main color and prepped the deck and outdrive for paint. Now it’s in NJ and I live in Arizona and he wants it picked up 🤦🏼‍♂️. Not really asking you to buy it. Thought it’s cool you have 2. Just wanted to share my story. Thanks
