The point, beyond being a general human interest story, is that the Breckenfelders—who are diehard performance-boat enthusiasts—won the Napa experience item as high-bidders at the 2022 Boyne Thunder Poker Run auction, which raises money for two charities for children. If you visit speedonthewater.com, you'll see that it falls into the "People" and "Commentary" sections.

Not all stories appeal to all readers and we don't expect them to. Clearly, this one didn't appeal to you. All good.
