As someone that's never been. Why the focus on the east end of the course?
Is there no wake zones extending to the west of the course?
Barely anyone coming from that way?
I take it the starting line is west, then they run east? So that's where everyone hangs out.

Yes, they run from the 4 Corners side towards the Hurricane Deck Bridge. Runs Southeast to Northwest.

Most of the traffic going to and from course comes from downstream.

Probably 70% of all the boats and probably 90% of the big cruisers come from downstream.
The way it used to be before the extended no wake.........I miss that "sporty water"

Our place is just past the no wake heading upstream (west) at the 36, there is really no issue with water conditions that direction. We used to be at the 19 and it was a wild ride going home

I completely agree with this. The some of the very Best rides I had in my Gun were leaving the ShootOut a few years in a row. That is what these boats are made for!!
We even put the Go Pro on once and somebody forgot to turn it on. Could have been the Beer that evaporated during the heat of the day

Great ride and video, but evidently you don't have a dock in that stretch of water.
