Just settled in in SW Florida. Down here the rage is flats boats for shallow water fishing. Stumbled across a neglected 18 Skater that may work as a very fast flats skiff. But wondering if anybody knows the weight and how much water they draw. Probly gonna underpower it with a 90-125 motor. Too old to be going 80 in a small outboard cat anyway.

I had a friend w/one and have seen a few.
From what I remember, they are heavy and like/need power.
You will get way more help on that at screamandfly.com.
An outboard based, go fast site.
