Default Manatee Marine Rigs Doug Wright 450R Factory Stock-Class Cat For Murray And Scheer

How strong is the 450R Factory Stock class? Strong enough to bring two famous offshore powerboat racers out of retirement. https://www.speedonthewater.com/mana...ay-and-scheer/

What happens to the 450 class when/if the rumored new power shows up on the scene in the next day/week/month/year?

Seems like a real experiment to spend the 450 money to then repower possibly.

Possibly run them past their prime like the 2.5s, then the 300XSs in Superstock??

It will be the same as usual. If you don't run the new motors then you get a weight break. The 450s will hold their value just like the 400Rs did and guys will more then likely step up. The 30K or 40K difference isn't much in the big picture cost of a new 450 class boat.
