Hey guys,
my engine is close to being finished and one of the last things for the rebuild is the cam which these days seems to be hard to come by. Spoke to Isky as Saris Racing highly recommends them and the below cam is what was recommended to me so I ordered one.
What do you guys think about this cam?

Looks perfect. I run 230/236 @.050, 112lsa 0.620"/0.640" in my 509cid. 530hp @ 5300-5400rpm. Mine has peanut port heads. Guess you have rec ports so you may get more power and maybe few hundred rpm higher.

It seems a bit mild but I know in a boat it is way different than a car. We all want the "chop" but I know it creates more bad than good in a boat.
What pitch prop are you spinning? Im a 1996 Baja 252 and currently has a 22P 4blade prop on it, thinking of jumping to a 24 or a 26P max.

Yes it is a Gen 6 roller with Rec port heads. I went to a Holley 4150 intake drilled for multi-port injection and a 1,000CFM throttle body with Holley HP injection. I also ditched the captains call exhaust valves and ordered EMI dry tip risers for my Thunder manifolds. I was hoping for a 540hp range, we all increased compression a tad to 9.0:1ish

We didn't really review the specs when discussed on the phone, the person I spoke to at Saris was a super nice guy and went above and beyond to answer my questions. He recommended I talk to Isky. I called and spoke to someone on the Isky technical team and they spec'd that cam for my setup. Said it offers good performance yet wont create the driving snags a more aggressive cam can cause.
I spoke to Teague before reaching out to Isky or Saris and they have some of their own profiles which Saris did also mention but customer stock is also a big issue right now. The Isky cam is also available where everyone else is 6-8 and some are over 10weeks out for a custom grind. Boating here in NY my window is 3-4 months tops so I dont have 10weeks to wait on a cam.

As a comparison, the 500efi cam is 230/236 +.600” chevy cast iron rect ports
The 500hp carb single plane is 222,230 near .600” , 110 LSA chevy cast iron rect ports
Both perf manifold exhausts
525EFI 236/244 +.600”/ 114 lsa / edelb/gm alum heads / cmi headers
