Default Merc Exhaust Y Pipe removal.

Is there some kind of block plate so you can completely remove the Exhaust Y pipe? What do you do if you want it? The thing is heavy and just takes up room in my hull.

Things are so much eadier to work on with the y pipe gone. Having a y pipe is like trying to put on your clothes with a sumo wrestler sitting on your lap.

LOL yes. Wait a sec…something bolts down onto the Y pipe. I can’t remember what it is though. I want to say it’s housing to the flywheel or coupler but that’s not right.

Nothing bolts to it - the y-pipe is bolted to the bottom half of the transom plate. But it's really in the way if you're trying to work around the back of the engine. You'll be happy to have it gone.

The block off plate is really nothing more than a $3 flat piece of metal.
