Default K-Plane Mounting NOVA

Its about time to mount a pair of K-Planes on the hull. I recently replaced the transom, so I have a fresh surface to drill holes. The boat is a 88 Nova Spyder with a single bbc/ bravo. It originally had the ole bennett trim tabs mounted to the degree of the hull. I have seen other single engine boats with K-Planes mounted numerous ways. 1 With the degree of the hull. 2 Flat with the water. 3 more towards the keel. 4 slight canter to them. Any suggestions or comments?

#1 - and 3 + inches from the chine. Is the only way I’ve had and installed them anyway but I suppose others may have other method’s depending on the hull design but yours Id still say above. JMO and experience.
