Question Portable GPS to feed GPS speedo?

Any problems (because it looks like it can be done), for me to wire the output from a portable gps (GPSMAP176) into either a Gaffrig or Nordskog GPS Speedo?

That eliminates the need for another sender to feed the speedo. (want to replace the Nordskog pitot type thats in there now).

It can be done I did it, you need to use either the white or blue wire, I cannot remember. These come off the harness. Make sure your ground and positive for both units are from the same source. You also have to set the Garmin unit to NEMA out in the setup up screen. Check the manual, If you dont have one they can be downloaded from garmin.
