Well, that sucks!!!! We had 40 plus people going with rooms booked and vacation time used. I would suggest that the teams that can't change their plans to still come and support the town. Wear your teams' uniforms and support the sponsors that have given and will lose something as well. It sure would help them to see the support of the racers and continued support for the future. Most of the Typhoon crew is still going and we hope to see you there.

thw world has gone nuts we had heavy smoke here and it was pretty cool once in a life time event i loved it it had a slight bonfire smell and sunset and sunrise were very colorful did not seem to affect power any line em up and race anyways !

It was more of a Coast Guard call than it was OPAs. Trust me, OPA and all it's racers would LOVE to be there.

I'm in NJ. Two days ago you couldn't walk outside without choking. Today it is a lot clearer. Initial reports said it wouldn't clear up until Monday.

Better to be safe than sorry I suppose but drove from mass to Delaware zero sighs of smoke . Could see nyc clear as day from I-95
