Try not to laugh. I know this boat is not made to go fast on water but I enjoy a challenge and the wife wasn't along to complain about the wind in her hair.
This big ole heavy tub (2007 256SSX) just managed to hit 56.1 MPH on Friday... with 40+ gallons in the tank and all the canvas flapping around on the arch.
I had a set of polished F7's sitting in the garage waiting for the next engine... so I figured I would give them a try.
They seem to do well and make the boat easier to drive at low speeds... as they feel like they have more bite in the water.
The original F6 props are at a shop getting fixed and polished after I bent the tips on 3 blades like a dumba$$. That will be a $670 mistake.
Im having him keep the same pitch but doing a full polish too.
I imagine it will probably struggle a bit more with a bunch of people onboard... but until the F6 props come back, I will keep running these F7's.
Previous best was 55.2 with the F6's and 3 passengers onboard.
I was not watching the tach during the top end run but did see cruising at 3600RPM = 41.2mph

Downhill, out of fuel, and wind assisted, my boat can almost touch 70
