Default What changes does the 555 ECU make when limiting power to 90 percent?

Code reader says power limited to 90 percent, we know it is for the Block Pressure sensor, Part just has not arrived yet. Just what is the ECU doing to limit the power to 90 percent. 2004 ish MPI motor with 555 ECU
Timing change?
Max RPM limited?
Fuel cut?
Just curious is if would effect the operation at part throttle operation.
