Default counter rotating alpha and merc outboard driveshaft the same as standard?

we need to shorten the 25 inch lowers. they have spacers. can a standard rotation driveshaft be used on the lefty or are they different?

They are different and not interchangeable. I have a pair of lower units apart right now. the shaft and pinion gears are the same, but the driven gears are a different setup.

I just re-read your post. The driveshafts are the same
