Default Under Boat Trailer lights

Guys,

So what does a guy have to search for to find these "landing" lights that I see under trailers in all the kewl colors? Ideally, I'd like to find purple LEDs, but all I'm finding are white, red, green and blue. We are planning to redo the bunks on our trailer sometime this summer, and I wouldn't mind adding this to the project.

Thanks. Brad.

A RGB (red/green/blue) LED can create Purple.

You know, red and blue make purple.

Wildman,

That would make sense, but I didn’t read in the description that they could mix colors. I thought they were just fixed as the designated colors.

So…. Any recommendations?

Thanks. Brad.

Wildman,

Nope. Every option I've found gives you a choice: Red, Blue, Green or White. No color mixing capabilities.

Thanks. Brad.

Really, that is strange most RGB's are changeable, all my outside landscape lights are.

I am just starting to redo an aluminum trailer for my boat, I'll let you know what we find. Pretty sure I see dead people did changing LEDs on the cig trailer.

Wildman,

I would agree. But the radio buttons on the websites, forcing you to make a choice, beg to differ. And they are pretty consistent in that format.

My guess/hope is that I am just not inputting the right search criteria.

Is
THIS THIS
what you're talking about?

Thanks. Brad.

Try shopping for Rock Lights. They go on Jeeps, truck's etc. I put them in my bilge and they are great. Waterproof, metal cases.

Yes , of course how water proof is debatable but in fresh water you should be fine with those.

These are mine. Need to go back & find where i bought them, but they are purple only & werent expensive. Didnt think i needed to get too fancy with RGB running a dedicated controller. just wired them to main trailer power box & put them on a dedicated switch.

BDiggity,

This is EXACTLY what I am looking for. Please do what you can to recall where you got them.

Thanks. Brad.
