I recently bought a 28' checkmate with a whippled 502 built by Wildcat performance engines mated to a Bravo 1 X
first trip out on the water it grenaded itself eating most of its pistons.
what I'm trying to figure out here is how I can rebuild the engine with all the good parts I have (block, crank, rods, cam, rocker arms, heads, intake, and Whipple kit)
what parts do you recommend? ex. valves, (block would need bored possibly) waiting on machine shop.
I'm sure I cannot build/ buy another long block for a reasonable amount of $$$ and slap the charger on top
looking for some insight. not having good luck with my first boat and would like to change that.
