As a Lake of the Ozarks resident...

I always say I am from Lake of the Ozarks rather than the town I actually live in (Osage Beach). Especially since the TV show. Its just fun watching the look of where on earth is that? or Oh, That place!

That being said, whenever I am writing about the area in a post or correspondence with people that know where I live, I use LOTO. We also own a business entity named: LOTO Contemporary Homes...

So there.... Clear as mud!

Live here in Camdenton. Grew up in Stl. Always called it “the lake”. If people don’t know. I tell them lake of the ozarks, central missouri. LOTO is just a short way to put it in type

I have never head anyone call it LOTO during a conversation.....its always been "The Ozarks" or Lake Of The Ozarks"
Only time i use LOTO is when typing it out like on these forums or a text to someone just for shorthand....... Saying LOTO is just weird to me...

Been a progression for me. As a 13 year old in '77, my first trip down it was "Lake of the Ozarks". From that point on it has progressed to all of the variations listed above.
