Default Farallon Islands Challenge On For August

Even in August when Pacific Ocean waters in Northern California tend to be calm, this event could be a wild one, https://www.speedonthewater.com/fara...on-for-august/

Yes, this might be a very rough ride, but then Brian Creech has mentioned that his specific Mirage 36 used to be a drug runner boat. The swells between Golden Gate and the Farallon Islands could be a little bit too much for some of the contenders if the Pacific serves them up. Really appreciate that they produce these true offshore racing events again.

45 years ago the 1978 Benihana Offshore Grand Prix West San Fransisco took place. The world's best offshore racing teams were there and at the end of the race, only three teams had survived the treasures waters of the Farallon Islands.
