$335K for the restoration and repowering. If Fountain brought back the 35, I wonder what it would cost with the same drivetrain? 500k?

Cool read didn't know some of that.

I still think bring back the stag but with more modern LT power would be nice but everyone wants OB's. Just hate the way OB's kill the lines of a boat.

If I read it right the boat originally ran 88mph with old school gale banks turbos (600 hp?), transmission, and 2a drives but now with new 565 hp motors the best of everything it picked up 3 mph? Granted 91 mph in a 10 meter with basically stock motors is impressive but it goes to show you it was dialed in pretty good originally with a lot less technology involved.

Love a good Reggie story.
I hope I get to take a 90mph boat for a spin when I’m 83.

says gale banks turbos were 475.

565s will Dyno 600 at aftermarket correction factors. New props are probably better, bravos don’t eat as much power. 565s have pushed a velocity 390 to near 100 and a 36 OL into the upper 90s. Pretty good for the old fountain! I understand they were laid up heavy.
