Cig because they are the bomb, but I would look hard at some Formulas. The bigger ones can strut some stuff. Just my .02. Good luck, wish we all had your problem.

130K, reliable power and 80....LAKE ERIE...you just knocked a lot of boats right out of the picture! take a look at some AT's...yes i have one for sale....also check out hustlers 388 with 500 hp's...that will put u right there at 80...pantera and power play were very hi on my list as well but the AT had more freeboard and cabin...sonic was everything i wanted minus the performance..........be sure any boat you buy is rock solid....lake erie tears **** up fast!!
funny i was going through the same thing when i built this last AT pleasue boat.
there is a picture of my boat here as well as a video...

never looked at the cigs just because of lower performance with the same power (500hp's)...i also liked big freeboard...the gladiator is a killer boat, but it's a race boat...another thing no ones is telling you about is drive reliability...it will vary greatly between some of these boats being mentioned.
how about cruise speeds? any thought to that?

I vote for a used Cigarette. While Top Guns are the most popular, you might find a Cafe cheaper since they were less popular. Don't plan on 60 from a Cig though. To do that you'll need at least 700 hp and that calls for #3's. Unless you have deep pockets to keep fixing things, be happy with a top speed of 72 - 75. You'll still have a nice relaxed 50 cruise through anything Erie throws at you.
Now my personal bias. The boats audacity mentions are all nice boats, but there is a good reason Cig has the reputation it does. They are built to last. Also, they hold their value fairly compared to other manufacturers.

HP3....cigs do hold the value and stay together as well...(so does a cruiser) but i think when someone buys a later cig, they buy it for one reason only...it's a Cigarette!...the new stepped hulls cigs are the ticket.
