Default Bad wreck at the 1.3MM LOTO-8 to the hospital

This is why boating at night scares the S$@# out of me. Here's the outcome and report as found on another site Looks like Alex Pratt of Good Boy Vodka was a passenger as well. Hope everyone involved has a quick recovery. Notice in the pic where the boat hit the house a few feet above the ground.

Yeah boating at night, high speed and drinking not a good combination, thankfully no one was killed and hopefully everyone recovers.

Don't drink and drive. Seriously, it is that simple. Thank god everyone is alive, but think about how everyone on that boats life changed last night. Driving at night at LOTO is NOT difficult, hard to mess up, if your sober and paying attention..

Glad no one was killed and hope they are all ok in long run.

imagine being the owner of house and being like, WTF! Go outside mad as hell but happy and thankful your not scraping people off side of your house and lawn.

says captain was from California. Plenty of out of state people own places at the lake. So, I could be wrong. But…. My guess, captain doesn’t know the lake very well. Can be confusing for out of town people at night, bunch of extra light from docks, houses, etc, causing glares add high speed and alcohol on top of it. Recipe for disaster.

That boat probably had two gigantic navigation screens right in front of his face showing the channel! A smart not drunk captain uses those screens and radar at night. Especially on waters you don’t know.

Again, glad everyone is ok.

Objective evidence indicates that they were traveling a bit faster than the night time 30 mph speed limit. Did I miss some mention of alcohol involved? Obviously there is the assumption but...was there? Huge loss of asset there, and it remains to be seen if there will be any lingering, life-changing injuries. Months or years of litigation are around the corner, friends will turn on friends...just nothing good about it at all. And totally avoidable. Best wishes for a speedy and total recovery for all involved.
Can you IMAGINE what the home owner heard and saw?
