Default 41 Apache Team Apache restoration

The Team Apache 41 full restoration article. Some really great details about the restoration. The original painter, Gail Paik, painted "Team Apache" as it was originally. A really incredible boat and equally incredible build by TNT and other vendors.

Idk, add the parts up.

Engines: $45k
Drives/gimbles: $45
Trannies: $10K
= $100k

You think the hull without the drivetrain is worth $225K?

Just did a quick search and saw it posted on a website that a new #6 drive has an MSRP of $41,512
the Transom/Gimbal assy has an MSRP of $22,364
they had the whole combo (Drive/Transom) listed on sale on this website for $46,295 each so thats $92,590 hanging off the back end
Whats the labor for completely tearing a boat down and rebuilding it? Paint job? Custome fabricated parts? it all adds up fast.....and try finding a boat in this size with this power for that kind of price listed....doubt it can be done....so i too thought it was a bit on the low side but then again....the market for go fasts i think has cooled a bit with everyone and their uncle buying the CC's now

Thanks for the excellent article and photos as always, Jared. Your courtesy reference to all our fave Marilyn DeMartini's excellent article in Speedboat Magazine in 2019, when the resto was finished, was also very gentlemanly.

Marilyn's article on page 56 and on: Speedboat Magazine April 2019

It baffles me that the boat's got used only for a handful of hours since this, most likely $500,000 plus restoration was done. Happy to see that it still looks to be in perfectly restored condition and what an opportunity for the right

individual to buy a legendary boat and head out in the ocean and re-live the glory days of true offshore racing by braving the swells for a few hours at a time. Congrats to whoever got the good taste and buys this collectible gem.

This resto reminds me of the first major classic offshore race boat restoration Mike Thomas and crew did, about 10 years ago of the impressive Bertram 31 White Tornado.
