Default Anyone with labbed REV 4 results?

Anyone had their Revolution 4 wheels labbed and thinned with good results? Looking to wake up my Rev 4 a bit, and was hoping to get other's perspective on labbing this wheel..

I dont think there are many Rev4's out there. I just switched to one on my Liberator with great results and will also end up getting it tuned. Just curious what your running it on and how it compared.

I have one on a 27 Fever, 23p, best prop I've triied so far. Talked to York twice now about labbing this prop, he wasn't to big on doing it. He said they are a pretty efficient prop out of the box.

I would be interested on any labbed results also.

Talk to Darin at Houston Propeller. He has done a couple and can fill you in on the results. He did mention that at least one brand new Rev 4 he labbed was badly out of balance, so balancing and/or blueprinting is a good idea.

Thank's for remembering Ric , yes we have also did a few over the counter and a couple thru boat dealer's and balance they needed, and a little Blade thinning never hurts for performance, really haven't had a lot of feed back but surley no complaints anyway special cost to do this is 175.00 plus 12.50 shipping this is good until Dec 31st then back up to 300.00 let me know if I can help. Darin

Not trying to take business from you Darin, but I had my 23 rev4 labbed and I noticed little improvement. Maybe about 0.5-1 mph and 75-100 rpm. I guess it could be looked at as cheap HP, but I did not get as much labbing this prop as I here other guys getting on other makes and models. Hope this helps.....A4

HOLIDAY SPIRIT/ZP'd just because it does not take that long for me to balance and polish a prop,Iwill be glad to do it for free you just pay the shipping back about fifteen dollars, why because I believe it needs it and if Iam wrong when I SET IT UP I'LL PAY THE SHIPPING BACK ,Iwill do this because I believe in a balanced prop zp'd this one's for you!!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine told me he picked up 4 mph when he labbed the Rev 4 on his 27' Checkmate. He's happy with the gain.

Darin,

I appreciate the offer! However I know well enough of you thru this and other forums of your outstanding buisness practices and principle that you deserve to be paid for your work.. We have exchanged e-mails before about working a prop or two for me but I've been putting off getting back to you till after the holidays.. (easier to sneak it by Momma then ya know) Besides, winter has a pretty good grip on us up north till May anyhow.

I know the Bravo 4 wheel is a great canidate for labbing but thought the Rev 4 would be also due to it's shear size and weight. I'm a littile suprised at Allan4's limited gain in top end compared to results you often see with the Bravo wheel when done right.

Tell you what, I'll ship it your way and let you work some magic into it after the holidays. I don't expect any special deal as I'm sure you'll work with me on it should I need to send it back for any tweaking anyhow. We'll plan on thinning and balancing and post the results here in the spring.
