Default Winter storage: boat snow frame diy help

A little late… but not too late to see what you guys have to say about how you keep the snow off your boats. I’m gonna make something for my boat since the past few years the way I’ve been trying hasn’t worked as well as it could have. I need to keep the cockpit area protected, I’d say it’s somewhere around 6ft from the windshield to the front edge of the back seat. I have a bunch of 2x4x8 boards and wondering if an a-frame style is the best to do, something where I can just rest it on top of the boat/canvas cockpit cover or removing the canvas during the winter and placing a beam across the top with a base on the floor of the boat. I’m not trying to get fancy, just don’t want tons and tons of snow on my boat.

Make a high pitch A frame from ground up. The higher the pitch the less chance snow will stay on it

So basically a shed frame around my boat cockpit with ground contact points?

I used a frame from a metal lawn swing, I put it on the back seat and front seats for a little more height and it looks great, hopefully works as well. Roped and bungee corded down 👍🏻

I've seen a lot of folks around here use PVC pipe and just slip it together (no glue) so come Spring you can take it apart for storage until next year.
