I didn't know who's boat it was when I started this thread.

Pretty cool in my opinion.

I was lucky to meet him at the Vail Classic Auto Show. He had entered his McLaren. I asked if he was "the" Fred Kiekhaefer and he said he "usually is".

Long story short we talked boats for a good thirty minutes, with him showing me hundreds of random prototype pictures in his phone.

When I left I thanked him for the chat, and said "I bet you never thought you'd be talking boats at the car show". He replied "Oh I can usually find a way to talk about boats". Was a very cool encounter for me as a 29 y/o, beginning my own entrepreneurial career...

Super nice guy.
