Default Small GPS/Chartplotter for Fountain 29 Fever

What GPS/Chartplotter is everyone using when there is very limited dash space? The distance between my windshield and dash is about 6'? I don't need a depth finder, no reason for a transducer but would like a simple chart plotter with gps speedo, etc.

7" Garmin fit on my 32' great. I mounted it on top of the dash near the front and not behind it as pictured above. It did not stick up past the windshield either.

That is what I did on my 32.
7", then went with a 9" when that one went bad. Still fit, bracket holes were the same.

Transducer is nice to have, enables auto routing and nice to see the bottom and side contour.

After a year or so I wished I would have done that also I had to squint to see it. Getting old sucks! LOL
