Hey guys,

I bought a boat with rebuilt 1075s

i understand they require 92 octane but the old owner told me they’re fine to run on 91.

can anyone chime in?

1075 was 91 Posted Octane (R+M)/2 (96 RON) International as per my merc racing manual. Awesome engines considering they came out in 2004. Pump gas over 1000hp is easy now. Not so much 20 years ago. Pretty exciting engine. Still holds it own in every way.
