Default Raylar heads vs HP3 heads…what to do

Hi, I am rebuilding my 496ho. Forged pistons and rods are a given. I have a modified intake from raylar and will probably go for their 203 cam as well. My predicament is whether to spring for Raylar heads or to use HP3 heads (I have access to a pair). I’m told the HP3’s don’t flow quite as well but I’m only trying to achieve 500 hp. I don’t want to have to reflash my ho pcm if I don’t have to. I’ve heard that raylar’s kit won’t require pcm reflash if I raise fuel pressure to 51 psi. Does anyone know from experience whether this is a valid solution? I know this is not as reliable as a reflash. If bumping up pressure to 51 is valid, would it work for hp3 heads and a 203 cam? If so, would there be a material power difference between raylar heads and hp3 heads on a 203 cam? Which setup is more reliable? Boat is an 22 ft donzi. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Turning the fuel pressure up may cause it to load up at idle.

500hp goal? Go with the HP3 heads. Raylar's 315 CNC are nice but big $$. You don't need to tune the HO PCM as long as you adjust fuel pressure with accurate AF/R readings on a wideband.
