Why not MTI or Super stock at Ocean city

I am glad that this was brought up, as much an I love the sport and the teams that were there were great, if everyone cannot get on the same page and race together it is going to continue to to just be what it is, a fun and very expensive hobby. I will also say that you cant hold a race with 4 boats in it as well as several other class races with very few boats in it because it is like watching paint dry and people all weekend were leaving because they lost interest in the event, it needs to get fixed. OPA, APBA and RWO all need to get together and put their EGOS a side and start to race together PERIOD. I also feel that the OPA teams that did not come that was a slap in the face to Phil because many times you had an event there and promised big boat counts and well we already know that did not happen but you took his money anyway. The Stock team as per Ryan said they voted as a group not to go and that class alone would have helped in a big way. 4 450 boats with one crashed and 1 riding around on what appeared to be 1 engine while the other 2 boats raced once again cool boats but it was like watching Paint Dry. Sorry just my as well as several other peoples thoughts while watching all weekend I love the sport but with all respect it needs to get fixed.

Maybe the Prize Purse wasn't big enough?? considering most are business owners and can't be away be away from there business 3 weeks in a row. The schedule needs to be adjusted.

^^^^ And there lies one of the problems. Another glaring issue is lack of sponsorship. Although the best teams have major sponsorship from MTI, Monster and others just to name the big ones. That leads to smaller teams and individuals to limit where they can travel and race. The costs associated with the boat, engines, tow vehicles and all the support parts is just the start. Hotels, travel, meals, and lost revenue from the business while away for a 4-6 day trip. Then when you break something, that cost. It is definitely not for the faint hearted and budget conscious teams. I could go on, but everyone knows what it means to drop your boat in the water and run the **** out of it for a few mins. Imagine doing that at wide open for 30-40 mins without any relief. Without a mega sponsor that gets old real quick.
