I can supply a video to show but there’s a 3” play on each side when I wiggle the outdrive. The shaft pin is good, no vertical movement on the outdrive. The steering arm doesn’t move. Should I go ahead and buy a new transom assembly because of a bad gimbal ring. Part is on back order, need to place an order ASAP if the gimbal is worn.

Mine was way worse than that. I did the JR marine method of removing the steering pin and found my gimbal ring was wore out

My transom assembly is on it’s way, should be taking it in soon.
