I'm running a Bravo XR with sportsmaster lower, closed cooling on the engine, raw water exhausts.
Struggling with excessively high raw water pressure - it pegs the gauge.
Have put extra exhaust water dumps in (not shown in the below pic), which hasn't helped, even though it's dumping a good amount of water out of them and the exhausts.
So I'm thinking about putting one of the CPP integrated water dumps in.
Was originally going to put it in immediately after the raw water pump outlet, before the oil cooler, but can see from some threads that people have put them in after the oil cooler.
Where's the "best" place to put it - I'm not entirely sure where the restriction is - is it usually the oil cooler? the PS cooler? or the exhausts? Or the heat exchanger?
Thanks

Have you tried blocking off some of the water pickups on the drive?
Many folks have tapped the side or front holes and put set screws in them.
Maybe your drive is too deep and you are giving up speed too.

Just checking boxes....
Any possibility the gauge or the sender is faulty? You might be chasing a problem that doesn't actually exist.
Thanks. Brad.

so where are you reading this pressure from in the system? assuming the raw water side is going from the drive to the pump to the oil cooler to heat exchanger to manifolds and out? when are you seeing this pressure? what is it at idle, on plane cruising and at wide open throttle?
